Forget Me Not

This is a bracelet I made for an amazing woman called Diane. She was severely disabled and came to me through the Standerline family. She had lost her husband just before Christmas who had cared for her throughout their marriage. Diane was also blind. Her favourite colour was purple because she liked the sound of the word, and this is where I found my inspiration and came across some Forget Me Not flowers. I wanted her to be able to feel the flowers I made for her and know that the centre of her bracelet contained her husbands hair. A tactile reminder of someone loved and lost.

This bracelet and Pendant was made from the Petals of Thomas’s funeral. I was so surprised that the Standerline family came back to ask me to make more pieces for them. They have all given me great support and encouragement. Thank you!

Feather From a Dove

Floating feather from released doves in domed watch glass.

We had such a special day for our beautiful Tom Elias.  Part of the ceremony was to set free four white doves.  From one of the feathers left behind Tash fashioned a necklace that captured that moment of freedom and love.  I wear it with pride.
